5 Reasons Shopify is the platform for your commerce business

Shopify has become the number one choice for e-commerce business owners, due to its many integrations and ease of use. If you are unfamiliar with Shopify, it is an all-in-one commerce platform that gives anyone the ability to start, run and grow a store online with no experience. Even if you have no experience its the platform that you want to get started with.

As a Shopify Partner/ Expert, I have helped numerous stores get started and migrate over to the platform it also means that I have had a ton of experience over the past 4 years with the platform.

If you are thinking about getting started with Shopify, hopefully, this post helps you make the choice easier for you.

Now lets jump in, here are my 5 reasons why Shopify should be your commerce platform:

REASON #1: USER-FRIENDLY

When choosing a commerce platform or any website platform you want to make sure that it is easy enough for you to use without hiring someone to run your store. Shopify provides a very easy to use the platform, clean interface and easy to navigate. They really make it simple to get started and with each step of the way you receive emails to help navigate you during the running of your store. Such as when you get your first order, you get an email notification with some next steps so you are never in the dark.

REASON #2: COST-EFFECTIVE

As a small business owner the money you spend is just as important as the money you receive, so knowing exactly what you spending each month to just run your store needs to be at a manageable level. Shopify has four different price points:

  • Shopify Lite: $9 a month for selling products minus the online store

  • Basic Shopify: $29 a month

  • Shopify: $79 a month

  • Advanced Shopify: $299 a month

Getting started you can just choose the basic Shopify and grow as you like, but knowing each month that this price is $29 makes your expense report happy.

The only time the cost of your Shopify subscription goes up is when you add apps (that have a monthly fee) or purchase shipping labels through Shopify.

REASON #3: CUSTOMIZABLE

Shopify’s free themes alone seem a bit blah and standard but adding the power of the Shopify App Store you can create custom stores with special features without paying for a paid theme. There are a number of apps that can help you customize your order page, add up-sells to your carts and even your order confirmation pages.

REASON #4: ALL-IN-ONE PLATFORM

Everything regarding your Shopify store is inside Shopify, even the apps you add they all can be found from your Shopify dashboard. So you don’t have to worry about having various logins and websites to run your one store.

Even your marketing is now integrated with Shopify, you can send Facebook and Google Shopping ads with KIT (which is your free marketing AI). Having everything in one place is great for small business owners and solopreneurs, especially with the ability to sell on different platforms with a press of the button such as Amazon, eBay, and Jet.

REASON # 5: SUPPORT

You receive 24/7 support for your store when it is hosted on Shopify, with options to call, email or chat with customer service agents. I have had numerous interactions with Shopify support and each one has gotten the answers needed for my customers and sent transcripts with any helpful links after chats. An added support option is the Shopify status page that gives you up to the minute updates on any issues reported with the Shopify platform. Knowing exactly what’s going on with your store and where to go to get help is important for any platform and Shopify exceeded on every instance.

I hope this helps you make the switch to Shopify easier and answers some questions you may have had, let me know if it did help or even if you have any questions on the Shopify platform. I’m always open to help 🙂
