As you receive traffic to your Shopify store, you may notice that you have high traffic peaks that show customers adding products to their cart but no sales incoming.
This creates what is called a abandon cart, Shopify saves these and goes through a process to try and recover the carts for you.
One thing to note is that in order for Shopify to save these carts, the customer has to be logged in, if they haven’t logged in or completed the first step of checkout then Shopify will have no way of trying to recover the abandoned cart so it wouldn’t save it.
You can find your abandon carts in Orders > Abandoned Carts
